Logging into VPN is EASY!!!

** Make sure POP-UPS and COOKIES are enabled, at least for UT and Parkland sites.
1. Go to: https://utswra.swmed.edu/
2. Click "Start" next to the "Network Connect" Icon under "Client Application Sessions."
- If this is your first time, you will need to install the Juniper Networks Client.
- If this is not your first time, clicking this button will launch the client.
3. Once the "Network Connect Client" is running, navigate to:
- http://inside.utsouthwestern.edu/clinicalportal/
4. Click on UTSW EPIC Citrix, OR Parkland CITI Web Portal.
5. Download and install the EPIC Client as prompted.
6. If needed, for Windows Vista or Mac, download the NEW client from this site:
- http://www.citrix.com/English/SS/downloads/index.asp (Click on Citrix Clients and pick your OS.)
7. Once EPIC is installed properly, the icon will show up and you can log in!
8. If you need help, call: 214-590-5999 for Parkland support!

Getting Your Medical License!

1. Check your eligibility with the Texas Medical Board.
2. Gather all of the required information, or register with the Federation of State Medical Boards to do it for you.
3. Get fingerprinted.
5. Call the Texas Department of Public Safety to get an application for your DPS number.
6. Register for your DEA number, or update your information here.
7. Activate your medical license.
8. Be prepared to pay more than $2,350 (cost in 2008) by the time this is all done!
